Project: BSides NYC is a weekend infosec conference in the New York City chapter of Security BSides. In April of 2023, BSidesNYC was reborn after a few years’ hiatus, so we chose a theme about rebirth. I mashed up the city’s most iconic symbol, the Statue of Liberty, with the nearly 100-year-old silent film Metropolis. Fritz Lang, a German film director, was inspired by early 20th century NYC for the movie. We used his Maschinenmensch as a model for our uncanny, cyberpunk Statue.
Contribution: Logo concept and design, badges, event branding, wayfinding signage, and ephemera.

Human Process
For brand cohesion and consistency of use, all logos by Hotiron Creative ship with vector art, versions for light and dark backgrounds, single-color versions, alternate layouts (if applicable), as well as color codes for print and screen.
