Project: Say hello to Lyle of Lockdown Systems, from the people who brought you Cyd, the little bird with the power to delete your tweets and claw back your data, under the leadership of hacker, software developer, author, and privacy activist Micah Lee.
I worked with Micah and his collective on rebranding the original turtle, including giving him a name: Lyle, for “Lockdown Your LifE,” similar to how we rebranded Semiphemeral to Cyd, a name from the abbreviation of “Claw back Your Data.” Get behind the punk turtle if you want to protect your data. Saying you have nothing to hide is like saying you have nothing to protect, and we all know that’s simply not true.
